Gianfranco Ferrè

A man, an innovator, and a master of distinctive identity, Gianfranco
Ferrè was influenced by his studies of architecture, his travels in
India, and by his own upbringing and cultural roots. Gianfranco Ferrè,
the architect of fashion, has since the 70s, has looked towards the
richest of traditions in fashion and rewriting their boundaries and
lines through experimentation and avant-garde design. "My clothes are
architectural fabrics thought out for the body. That the body then
brings to life". These are the words that best describe the fashion of
Ferrè. An adventure that began almost by accident with the design of
jewelry and accessories approved by the Haute Couture of Dior. Still
today, after the premature loss of Ferrè in 2007, the brand is the
symbol of Made in Italy, now carefully nurtured by a duo of stylists,
Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi, that taken the historic brand to
new frontiers.
