John Galliano

Eccentric, genius, visionary, words for a designer that just doesn't fail to amaze.
John Galliano is the multifaceted artist capable of reinventing transgression season after season, bringing to the leading
fashion shows the world-over his sartorial excellence and visual imagery without comparison.

Born in Gibraltar in 1960 at the age of six, he moved to London where he studied at Saint Martin's School of Art and Design: it was during the fashion show for his degree that he let the world in to see what creative masterpieces he was capable of delivering.
The "unconventional" designer goes on to leave the catwalks of Paris spellbound, and then on to become artistic director of Givenchy, ceding to Dior where he becomes chief designer and invents the défilé-concept.
In 2001 Queen Elizabeth gave the title to John Galliano as Commander of the British empire in recognition of his contribution to fashion on the global stage.
In June of 2010 Nicolas Sarkozy gave the honorable title of Légion d'Honneur to John Galliano.
